Texas Football Club (TFC) press releases

AUSTIN – JUNE 15, 2025

Texas Football Club (TFC) is proud to announce the expansion of its corporate soccer initiative—bringing companies and professionals together through competitive, inclusive, and community-centered soccer. The program launches in Austin with plans to expand statewide and nationally.

"We’re building more than just a league—we’re building a platform for inclusion, development, and long-term impact,” said Hani Al Rifai, President of Texas Football Club. “Whether you’re a weekend player, a company team captain, or a future pro, TFC gives everyone a place to compete and grow."

TFC offers league play, tournaments, and showcase events for all genders, abilities, and skill levels. Open to teams funded by employers or organized by employees, the league fosters workplace culture, wellness, and professional networking—on and off the pitch.

A Timely Launch: World Cup 2026 Momentum

With the FIFA World Cup 2026 coming to the United States, interest in soccer is exploding. TFC is launching at the perfect moment to capture that momentum—giving professionals and companies across Texas a way to engage with the sport in a structured, exciting, and meaningful way.

A Launchpad for Talent

TFC previously fielded a team in the Division 4 United Premier Soccer League (UPSL). Now with official nonprofit tax-exempt status, the club is positioned to create a true professional pathway. Through scouting, advanced coaching, and expanded competition, players across all divisions—corporate or amateur—may have the opportunity to elevate their game and pursue semi-professional or professional soccer careers.

Vision

To build the leading inclusive corporate soccer system in the U.S.—connecting players, companies, and communities through sport—while becoming a launchpad for both careers and talent.

Mission

To unite working professionals, support talent development, and serve communities across the U.S. through competitive and accessible soccer.

Players who show strong potential could have opportunities to be scouted, developed, or connected with more competitive environments. Our long-term vision includes supporting those who aspire to reach the next level—while keeping community at the core.

Q: Will there be community and media involvement?
A: Yes. TFC plans to engage local communities through events, storytelling, and media coverage. As we grow, we aim to highlight players, matches, and initiatives that bring people together on and off the field.

Q: How will inclusivity be maintained?
A: All players join through open registration—no tryouts, no favoritism. Everyone has equal access to play, compete, and develop.

Q: Who are we affiliated with?
A: TFC is officially affiliated with FIFA and the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF), ensuring alignment with national and international soccer standards.

Q: Are you only serving corporate teams?
A: For now, yes—our focus is on corporate leagues to build structure, momentum, and sustainability. But long term, no. We plan to expand into community programs, youth development, and open recreational leagues as part of our broader mission to make soccer accessible to everyone.

Q: Where and when do you currently play?
A: We currently run matches on Friday afternoons at the Round Rock Multipurpose Complex. As we grow, we plan to expand to Monday through Friday between 4–6 PM, and eventually add evening and weekend games to accommodate more teams and players across different schedules.
