Meet The Founder

Texas Football Club (TFC) is led by founder and president Hani Al Rifai, a lifelong soccer enthusiast and seasoned program leader. Drawing on his experience in building both corporate and community soccer initiatives, Hani founded TFC to unify professionals, elevate local talent, and create meaningful change through the sport. His vision is clear: to make soccer accessible, inclusive, and impactful across workplaces and communities in Texas — and beyond.

TFC is a nonprofit organization with official 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status from the U.S. government. This structure allows us to reinvest 100% of our revenue into expanding programs, supporting players, organizing leagues and tournaments, and building lasting community impact. As a nonprofit, we’re also eligible for donations, grants, and sponsorships — all of which go directly toward our mission to grow the game of soccer and create opportunities for everyone.

Texas Football Club’s growth strategy is built on a clear, mission-driven framework designed to scale sustainably while maximizing our impact across communities and workplaces.

We are expanding through four core pillars:

1. Competitive Teams – Continue building and expanding competitive squads to create a pathway for high-performing players to advance regionally and nationally.
    
2. Recreational & Corporate Leagues – Provide accessible entry points for players of all skill levels, fostering community engagement and consistent participation.
    
3. Youth Development – Establish programs that nurture young talent and offer early access to structured training and competitive play.
    
4. Infrastructure Development – Secure dedicated facilities that serve as community hubs for training, matches, and events—ensuring operational stability and long-term growth.
    

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, every dollar is reinvested directly into these programs. Our phased growth model starts with a strong volunteer foundation, transitions into part-time paid roles, and ultimately moves toward full-time employment opportunities. Achieving that final stage depends on scaling successfully over the next 12 months—by delivering on our mission, expanding participation, and building strong, lasting partnerships.

We never play the victim. We channel all our energy into 100% positivity. If we miss a chance, we don’t sulk — we try again, harder.

Practice isn’t just practice — it’s playing football, one of our greatest passions in life.

We always favor scoring for our team over scoring for ourselves. If we’re 2v1 with the keeper, we pass to ensure the goal for the team.

Pressure is a privilege — we run towards it.

Champions push on. No matter the score, we never give up and focus on recovery.

Our goal is to win any match we compete in — friendly or tournament.

We share our wins and own our losses. We learn from defeats instead of blaming each other.

Hold fast, stay true — when things get tough, we believe in and rely on what we’ve trained to do.

We have no tolerance for any form of bias, racism, or discrimination. Diverse teams achieve great things, and no one should ever feel belittled.

We work hard, enjoy the game, and compete to make history together.

• Contributions: Photography, media planning, website visuals, marketing support

• Role: Represent players’ interests, help shape inclusive experience, build community
• Contributions: Act as the “voice of the players,” manage team feedback loops, mentor captains, support recruitment

• Focus: Build relationships with community groups, youth players, and volunteer
• Contributions: Coordinate outreach events, manage volunteer efforts, support youth program development

• Focus: Elevate club visibility and brand storytelling 
• Contributions: Produce matchday photos/videos, manage social and web updates, support promotional campaigns

• Focus: Signing up new corporate teams across the Austin and suburb areas
• Tasks: Lead outreach, pitch league value, close team signups, assist onboarding

• Focus: Managing match logistics and team coordination
• Tasks: Schedule games, book fields, handle player comms, ensure smooth matchdays

• Focus: Officiating games fairly and consistently
• Tasks: Enforce rules, manage game flow, ensure player safety and sportsmanship

• Focus: Ensure smooth matchday operations and capture key moments
• Tasks: Play national anthem, set up Veo camera, assist with kickoff logistics

• Focus: Lead and manage individual team training and match preparation
• Tasks: Run weekly sessions, set lineups, guide player development, and ensure positive team culture

• Focus: Leading the technical growth and performance standards across all levels of the club
• Tasks: Design training frameworks, oversee coaches, mentor players, and shape the club’s on-field identity
